RNAV established at Bhadrapur Airport – Night Flights now Possible
Another milestone in Nepali aviation has been achieved with the successful setting up of RNAV operations at Bhadrapur Airport, thus making night flights possible. Through RNAV, flights can be operated even under low visibility. Runway lights have also been installed. In the coming months, Janakpur Airport will be equipped with RNAV technology, in collaboration with Buddha Air, CAAN, and airport authorities of Janakpur. Once the test flight is successful, Buddha Air will be operating commercial night flights to Janakpur Airport, as well.

Skoda MAW rolls out the new Skoda Octavia
M.A.W. Enterprises, authorized dealer of Skoda cars in Nepal, has launched the new Skoda Octavia, which is available in three trim options—Ambition, Style, and L & K, and eight different iterations based on engine options and transmission. The Octavia gets both diesel and petrol engines. The 1.8-litre TSI engine provides 180 bhp and is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox, while the smaller 1.4-litre TSI gets mated to a 6-speed manual and provides 150 bhp. The diesel is the tried and tested 2-litre motor that makes 143 bhp and gets mated to a 6-speed DSG gearbox. The Octavia gets 8 airbags in the top spec version, while the Style and Ambition versions get 6 and 4 airbags, respectively. ABS (anti-lock brakes), EBD (electronic brake distribution), and traction control come as standards. The petrol powered base trim - 1.4 TSI MT Ambition variant starts at Rs.71,00,000, and the price goes up to Rs.102,00,000 for the top of the line 1.8 TSI L & K variant. Similarly, among the diesel models, the price for the 2.0 TDI MT Ambition starts at Rs.91,00,000 and goes up to Rs.1,11,00,000 for the top-spec 2.0 TDI AT L & K variant.

Turkish Airlines, preparing for a brand new journey set to be started with its move to its new state-of-the-art home base, Istanbul Airport, continues its partnership with The LEGO ®Movie franchise with the digital debut of a new, fun, and original safety video. It stars characters from the movie, which will be in theaters worldwide beginning February 8, 2019. Back in August 2018, Turkish Airlines debuted the first-ever LEGO passenger safety video. The second inflight safety video, featuring LEGO characters Emmet, Lucy, and others, will be shown on all flights starting March 1, 2019. The video also features some of Turkish Airlines’ most exciting destinations, journeying across Bali, Moscow, San Francisco, Rome, Cape Town, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, ending finally at Istanbul Airport.
