Recently, Samsung (South Korea) collaborated with Better World in organizing the Samsung Employee Volunteer Program, with the aim of developing and benefiting young Nepali minds in the field of technology. A team of 26 Samsung employees came down from Korea and participated in the program alongside Samsung Nepal employees. In an effort to help aspiring women entrepreneurs, the Samsung team organized a special women entrepreneurship program, where they carried out graphic designing and Photoshop classes. The Samsung team has also imparted IT education to around 100 Nepali students and trained 10 computer teachers from seven different schools. The IT equipment used for the training was brought from Korea and donated to the school when the program ended. Samsung estimates that approximately a total of 7000 students will benefit from this program.
