Kathmandu, 16 February
This year’s Close Up Love Fest added another feather to their cap as the three days of activities celebrating Valentine’s Day and providing occasions for sharing and spreading the love was a huge success. The month-long celebration, beginning with the college festival on 5 February, culminated in a full day’s event at Civil Mall on 16 February.
The event saw fantastic performances by crowd-favorites such as Mt. 8848, Naren Limbu, Sugam Pokharel, Anil Singh, Atripta Band and Shine Band, as well as a sensational Salsa and b-boying performance. In addition, Hem & the Band and Subani Moktan performed in the food court while the crowd swayed to the music. Every floor had games designed to bring people closer and included tons of gifts and prizes. A big hit at Love Fest this year was the Love Lounge on the 3rd Floor of Civil Mall featuring music for couples to dance to. Finally, the winning couple of the Message Board contest which took place at different Close Up Love Booths in six locations across the city was announced. They won a pair of Samsung phones.
