Last Friday, on the 22nd of February, Jindabaad perfomed live at Backyard Food Joint & Pub from 8 pm onwards. After featuring Monkey Temple live at Electric Pagoda and Tamarind in its first week, the second witnessed the progressive band Jindabaad put together a selective playlist of their best music. Under the sponsorship of Romanov Vodka, Rock n’ Nepal, a series of gigs across the valley every Friday and Saturday is being held for the first time.
After a brief session of jamming up until the venue gathered rock enthusiasts and fans of Jindabaad along with diners at the eatery, the band started things with the song Racist. Featuring the replacement keyboard player, the band played their other original soundtracks such as Shades of You and also their newest song entitled Jindabaad. “Our aim is to share the rock fever with the youth of Kathmandu. We will be featuring a variety of bands at different corners of the valley each weekend for the next couple of months. After that, sometime later in the year, we are also looking forward to touring other parts of the country with these bands,” said Mr. Gaurab Hamal of Thompson Nepal Private Limited. Organised by, Rock n’ Nepal is expected to feature 16 bands in 16 different venues. Similarly, Jindabaad also performed live the following day at Purple Haze Bar, Thamel.
