Shalini Rana’s first book “The Ballet of a Pirate” was launched on Tuesday at a program held in Hotel Annapurna.

The young writer shared, “I wrote the book after completing my bachelor’s but it speaks of children’s fantasy. My book conveys the message that one should never stop believing.” Her book’s storyline emphasizes on a little girl’s successful love story. She also expressed her concern regarding how many Nepali children do not have the habit of reading and that reading helps children in many ways. “Books take you to places you never imagined,” stated Rana. The book was launched by Rupy Singh, the Founder director of Rupy’s International School.
