Zonta International envisions a world in which women's rights are considered as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential. This year, Zonta Club Kathmandu entitled its 16-day program of activism against gender-based violence as "Raise Your Voice" to encourage women and young girls to break out the shackles of silence and speak out.  The program incorporated the visual medium through dance and drama to reinforce the message and raise awareness on the depth of violence prevalent in society. The performances were choreographed by renowned celebrity artistes Mithila Sharma, with students of St. Mary's, and Deeya Maskey, with her troupe. Bandana Rana, expert member of UN CEDAW, Dil Bhushan Pathak, well-known media personality, and Nikita Chandak , Miss Nepal 2017, spoke on violence against women.
