On the lazy days of summer, having a drink to linger over is certainly very pleasant. As we take off our bulky clothes for something lighter, so should be the case with our drinks! A tall glass of a chilled refreshing summer cocktail can be a fantastic way to kick-off happy hour. 
Fr!day talked with the bartender from The Factory Restaurant, Thamel, where he shared with us eight cool refreshing cocktail recipes to sip on a hot day. Make the most of the season with these chilled cocktail recipes!

Not overly sweet or too tart, Cosmopolitan cocktail recipe is perfect to shake up for one, or even prepare in advance for a crowd.
• 1 ounce vodka
• 1/2 ounce triple sec
• 1/2 ounce cranberry juice
• 1/2 ounce  lime juice  
How to mix
Shake vodka, triple sec, lime, and cranberry juice vigorously in a shaker with ice. Strain into a glass, garnish with a lime on the rim, and serve.

A mojito cocktail is the perfect refreshing summer drink, with its fantastic aroma of mint. As for the taste experience, expect it to change while you are drinking it.
• 2 parts rum
• 1.5 parts lemon juice
• 2 teaspoons sugar syrup
• 3 parts soda
• 6 pieces mint leaves
• Crushed ice
How to mix
Add sugar mint leaves to the glass. Pour lime juice and crush both lime juice and sugar mint leaves with muddler. Fill up the glass with crushed ice. Pour white rum. Then, fill up the glass with club soda. Finally, garnish with mint leaves. This can be served at any time of the day.

Blue Arrow
The Blue Arrow is a gin based cocktail. If you're not a gin drinker, the Blue Arrow may make you suffer, as this drink may make you shake a little.
• 2 parts gin
• 1 part triple sec
• 1 part Blue Curacao
• 1 part lemon juice
How to mix
Fill the shaker with crushed ice. Pour lime juice, Blue Curacao, triple sec, and gin into the shaker. Shake well. Strain into the cocktail glass and garnish with cocktail orange.

Whiskey Sour
The Whiskey Sour is a sickly-sweet mixed drink. It is all about flavor balance. The drink is very simple, with just a spirit, some fresh lemon juice, sugar, and water. You can add egg if you need a drink with a little more gravitas.
• 2 ounce whiskey
• 1 ounce fresh-squeezed lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 1 egg white 
How to mix
Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker, fill with ice, and shake well. If using the egg white, give it a little extra muscle and a little extra time. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass, or into an ice-filled old fashioned glass. Finally, top up with a slice of orange. Stir, and drink happily!

Frozen Daiquiri
A wide variety of alcoholic mixed drinks made with finely pulverized ice is referred to as Frozen Daiquiri.
• 1 1/2 ounce light rum
• 1 1/2 ounce lime juice
• 1 teaspoon sugar syrup
• 1 cup crushed ice
How to mix
Combine all ingredients, except for the slice of lemon, in an electric blender, and blend at low speed, then blend at a high speed for some seconds. Blend until frothy, and serve in a large cocktail glass.

Blue Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon cocktail is blue, ever so slightly frothy, and totally citrus in flavor.
• 1 ounce vodka
• 1 ounce Blue Curacao liqueur
• Lemonade
How to mix
Measure and pour the vodka and Blue Curacao into a highball glass. Top off the drink with the lemonade. Use your long stirrer and stir everything well. Garnish with cherry.

Pina Colada

• 3 fluid ounce light rum
• 3 tablespoons crushed pineapple
• 3 tablespoons cream of coconut
• Malibu
• 2 cups ice
How to mix
Combine rum, cream of coconut, pineapple, and ice in a blender. Puree on high speed until smooth. Pour into chilled glass and serve with a straw.

Strawberry Margarita
The frozen strawberry margarita recipe is a not-too-sweet blend of strawberry, tequila, and tart lime. Easy to make and delicious to drink.
• 1/4 cup fresh strawberries
• 1 1/2 fluid ounce tequila
• 1 fluid ounce lemon juice
• 1/2 fluid ounce triple sec
• Strawberry syrup
How to mix
Blend strawberries, tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and sugar in blender to combine. Add ice cubes, blend until the ice is crushed. Rub lime wedge around the rim of the glass. Spread sugar onto a plate. Dip glass rim in sugar to coat. Pour margarita into the glass. And serve with big smile!
