On December 20, to mark the beginning of festive season, Hyatt Regency Kathmandu hosted its Christmas tree-lighting for the third year in a row. With efforts to conserve the environment, the recycled Christmas tree of the event was made out of 4,600 bottles that took a total of 16 associates 96 hours to complete. The gingerbread house was decorated with 11,963 ginger biscuits, along with meringue, icing, sugar paste, doughnuts, and chocolates. It took 39 hours to complete.
