We Will Wear The Spirit

Navy blue and crimson will be the colors that perhaps every Nepali will be sporting on 16, 18 and 20 March. Why? Because our national team will be battling it out on the pitch at the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh. 'Jersey Day' is an initiative started to urge Nepalis to show their support for the national cricket team by “Wearing the spirit" i.e. the colors of the team jersey. Sahana Vajracharya and Suraj Giri moderated the press meet which was attended by sportsmen from various fields, businessmen and celebrities. "Wearing the team’s jersey as a symbol of support is a great way to appreciate the team’s effort," stated Anil Gurung, national footballer. Many present at the event also took a pledge to “wear the spirit” when the national team plays.
