Gadgets have immensely simplified our lives. Varying from the batteries of the remote control to drones, gadgets have verified themselves to be supremely beneficial to mankind. Gone are those days when you had to write letters to communicate with people staying far away. A friend living in the West is just a video call away, differently-abled people are no less than able, all thanks to gadgets.Gadgetsare those cool toolsthat can ward off the sensation of loneliness. They are so enjoyable that it actually ends up being really vital to incorporate them into our lives.We have grown so used to gadgets that it becomes really tough for us to think of daily life chores in their absence.Man’s dependence on them has increased so much that we just cannot do without them at all.Gadgets, whether a laptop or a mobile, allow people to stay more organized, communicate frequently, and stay updated to the outside with much more ease than was ever possible without electronic gadgetry.

With so much gadget buzz happening around in Kathmandu, Friday had an interesting conversation withtwo young and successful corporate personalities, Srijana Thapa, Managing Director, Photo Concern, and Siddhartha Hirawat, Director, Abhinandan Group,a chain of branded retail stores in Kathmandu, to know about their gadget fancies, their gadget letdowns, and their love for gadgets.

My phone, Samsung GalaxyS7 Edge.

How has it improved your life?

My phone keeps me connected, organized, and informed. It has made my professional and personal life easier.

What features would you add to it if you could?

I would love it if it was more wearable technology. Or, better, if it was embedded in me!

Have your gadgets ever let you down in a time of need?

Not yet.

If you could ask tech companies to invent a gizmo for you, what would be? It can be fictional.

I would love a universal translator gadget that would work offline, too. It would make communication easier, and life so much easier for all.

What is the most expensive gadget you have ever owned?

My smart UHD TV is the most expensive gadget I have right now.

News apps and e-books.

What do you prefer, physical transaction or shopping online?

I prefer physical transaction more.

Hexo +, a self-flying camera (drone that follows you).

My favorite gadget is the phone I am currently using, S7 Edge.

How has it improved your life?

In today's technological world, everything is done on the phone, from checking emails to contacting people through social media. Therefore, gadgets have made our life more efficient and easier.

What features would you add to it if you could?

The features I would like to add to S7 Edge has already been added to S8 Edge.

Have your gadgets ever let you down at a time of need?

Gadgets are a crucial part of our lives, and we are constantly using them, but sometimes when the battery dies, we don’t have any option. And that is a major let down!

What is the most expensive gadget you have ever owned?

My laptop Mac Book Pro is definitely the most expensive gadget I have owned.

Newspapers and books or news apps and e-books?

I definitely prefer news apps and e-books, because it is easier to view them on the phone. I am always updated with news through my phone.

What do you prefer— physical transaction or shopping online?

Definitely physical transaction!

Which gadget is on top of your wish list?

I am really looking forward to buy Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge.
