DIY Pizza!

Craving Pizza but not in a position to go out or order? Why not put your cooking skills to the test

and make your own? We show you how to make pizza at your own home without an oven. But do

make sure that you’ve all the ingredients you need, though!

The Pizza dough

You will need:

● Plain flour (maida) – 2 cups

● Olive oil – 2 tbsp

● Salt – ½ tbsp

● Sugar – 1 tbsp

● Egg – 1 (if you’re a vegetarian, you can also do without the egg)

● Instant yeast – 1 tbsp

Strain the flour on any utensil. Add all the ingredients – olive oil, salt, sugar, eggs and instant

yeast, then mix them all together with warm water as required and knead the dough.

Pizza topping

You will need:

● Boneless chicken - 250 gm (cubed) (not necessary for veg pizza)

● Ginger paste - ½ tbsp

● Garlic paste - ½ tbsp

● Crushed red chili - 1 tbsp

● Hot spice powder - ½ tbsp

● Black pepper powder - ½ tbsp

● Salt to taste

● Yogurt - 3-4 tbsp

● Lemon juice - 2 tbsp

● Oil - 2 tbsp


● Onion - 1 medium (cubed)

● Mozzarella cheese - 1 cup

● Cheddar cheese - ½ cup (This is optional, you can also do only with Mozzarella



Marinade chicken with all ingredients except the cheese for about 2 hours. Then barbecue or fry

them and make sure that the chicken is cooked properly.

Pizza sauce

You will need:

● Oil - 4 tbsp

● Garlic paste - ¼ tbsp

● Onion - 1 (boiled and blended)

● Tomato puree - ½ cup

● Crushed red chili - ½ tbsp

● Salt to taste

● Tomato ketchup - 4 tbsp

In a frying pan, put oil and heat it up. Add garlic and onion, and fry for some time. Add salt to

taste and rest of the ingredients and fry until you get the desired color and taste.


1. Preheat a pizza pan or tray. Make sure they’re non-stick or lubricate it with a tiny amount

of oil.

2. Place the pizza dough on the pizza pan or tray.

3. Cook for about 2 -3 minutes until the lower side gets a little brown.

4. Flip it over gently reduce the flame to a minimum.

5. Apply pizza sauce on top, and garnish with toppings

6. Add the cheese


7. Cover the pizza and cook in middle flame for about five minutes, until the cheese melts

and lower side gets a little brown. Keep checking in between to make sure that it’s not

overcooked, though.

And voila! Your homemade pizza is ready to serve hot. Maybe it’s not as per your

expectations…but hey, keep trying and you’ll be a pan-pizza chef in no time!
