The 6th Nari Wedding and Gift Expo 2012 was successfully conducted between 12-15 January at Bhrikutimandap, with over 60 stalls that encompassed wedding garments, event planners, and decorative items. Organized by Direction Nepal and sponsored by Swarna Bandhan, the event was formally inaugurated by actor Karishma Manandhar and KeKi Adhikari. According to the organizers, it was a must watch fair for those expecting to tie the knot in 2012. The event included wedding planners like The Premiere Events, Wedding Nepal, Welcome Wedding. Amongst other popular types of stalls were bridal wear, gold and diamond jewelry, spa and beauty products by Chaitanya, and Dead Sea Natural Beauty Products, men's footwear by Sky Shoes. Likewise Himalayan Trishakti Distillers and Nepa Music had accommodated stalls in the expo. The Photo concern showcased a photo exhibition with wedding photos of well-known Nepali personalities like Baburam Bhattarai, Diamond Shamsher, Madan Krishna Shrestha. To add fun to the exhibition, the organizers also put up a Bride & Couple's Carnival, Bridal make-up competition, and fashion show. The 4 day long event also provided free hair styling and free mehendi to its visitors.
