Rejoicing Spring an Artistic Display
The art exhibition titled 'Rejoicing Spring' was organized by Kathmandu Quartet. The exhibition was inaugurated by Princess Asha Raje Gaekwad of Baroda. Kathmandu Quartet, a newly formed group of exceptionally talented artists includes Bidhata KC, Chirag Bangdel, Kapil Mani Dixit and Kurchi Dasgupta. During the event, works of the four renowned artists were up for display as well as auction. "We have put up this exhibition on the onset of spring as we warmly welcome the much awaited season and bid farewell to yet another chilly winter," said Chirag Bangdel, one of the four members of Kathmandu Quartet. The paintings put up for display had a very pleasant theme and embodied the spirit of the season of bloom. Few of the artworks exhibited during the event were Spring Whispers, Cherry Blossoms, Destination Kathmandu, Dream of the White Lotus etc. These paintings were created using manifold materials such as oil, acrylic, print, and mixed media.
