In a press conference organized at Yala Maya Kendra, the release date for the much awaited film "Highway" was announced as 15 June. A team of 13 shared the details of the making of the movie which was more of a project to make a good Nepali film. The team comprised eight actors from the cast, the director - Deepak Rauniyar, the executive directors - Sameer M. Dixit, Lonim P. Dixit and Mita Hosali, and story writer - Kedar Sharma. Executive director, Sameer M. Dixit opened the conference with Tulsi Ghimire's words - the audience is intelligent, so it's high time intelligent movies are made. Dixit stressed that this is the intention that project Highway was made with. Hosali added that the film cannot be categorized into a specific genre, "the film speaks to all, regardless of social class, or even age." All the actors gave a glimpse of their characters in the film and even shared incidents and experiences from the filming process. The team also shared that while the origins of this film were modest, both in terms of objectives and initial funds, the impact and reception have far exceeded their expectations. Highway's selection in the Panorama segment at the Berlin Film Festival is being seen as milestone - a Nepali Film having made it to the global film festival circuit.
