Saying Yes to Change
An event comprising of music, dance and comedy was organized by 'Yes To Change', in, Lazimpat, in order to raise a hefty amount of Rs. 200,000 for an under-construction school in Bangthali VDC, Kavre. Present were musicians, beauty pageant winners, along with people from varied professions who came together to have fun while contributing financially towards educating fellow Nepalis. Talking about the initiative by Yes to Change, rapper Nirnaya Shrestha said, "I have been personally observing the progress of the school from its initial days; the school which at the moment has poor infrastructure will get better rooms for classes after this event. I will be contributing to this cause in my personal capacity as well." The school, Carmen de la Torre, is run under the supervision of Spanish INGO 'Sainj de Baranda Association', and facilitates its students with free food, accommodation, tuition and stationary.
