ASMAN (Association of St. Mary's Alumnae Nepal), a non-governmental, nonprofit organization devoted to the cause of aiding and supporting underprivileged Nepali women and children has been organizing various fundraisers and charity events since 1990. Continuing the trend of charity shows, ASMAN came up with another similar fundraiser at QFX Kumari Cinema. The fundraiser event was the premiere show of the movie "Cocktail", starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. The charity fundraiser kicked off with a 'dinner and drinks' affair at 6 pm, which witnessed a lot of personalities eager to watch the movie while contributing to a good cause. The executive committee members of ASMAN were all present there to support the organization's cause. As soon as the clock struck seven, the crowd started to pour into the theater. On enquiring why they chose a movie for a charity event ASMAN's President Soni Joshi said, "ASMAN is always looking to do things differently. With the premiere of the movie, people can enjoy as well as do something for a good cause." All proceeds of this event will go towards supporting various social projects of ASMAN.
