Every year, many new two-wheelers hit the market to keep up with the changing trends, with brands coming up with killing features and more stylish designs that prove to be a treat for every two-wheeler enthusiast. As per Executive Director Pawon Verma of Anna International Pvt. Ltd., CFMOTO Nepal, CFMoto 150NK is their best new model this year, which they launched at the NADA auto show 2017. He says, “Every CFMOTO two-wheeler is outstanding, with a complete package, however, 150 NK works its magic for daily commuters with best mileage and performance.” Priced at Rs.2, 99,000, the bike has a 150 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, and SOHC that delivers 14.3 Bhp @ 9,000 rpm, and maximum torque of 12.2 Nm @ 7,000 rpm. It has already sold 35 units, and is all set to officially launch the model during January 2018, along with six other new models.
KTM International Trading Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Benelli in Nepal, introduced the Benelli 302R at the 2017 NADA auto show, and considers it to be their hottest release of the year. According to Sales and Marketing Manager Shaswat Rijal, the company has sold more than 50 units since its release, and is also receiving excellent response from the customers because of its handsome fascia, cornering clearance, and powerful brakes. Priced at Rs.7, 50,000, the 302R is the only motorcycle in the country equipped with a 2- cylinder, 4-stroke, water-cooled, double overhead camshaft engine, with 4 valves in the cylinder, making it a perfect ride for long tours with comfort.
KTM 390 Duke
Launched on June 1, 2017, the 390 Duke is one of the best 2017 launches of KTM, providing the customers with bigger brakes, larger tank, and more-aggressive styling. Sales Officer Suraj Bhattarai says, “The bike is user-friendly enough to provide the new riders with confidence, along with improved ergonomics that offers excellent comfort and more agility.” He added that the company has sold about 200 units till date. KTM 90 Duke, launched at Rs.7, 14,900, is no doubt an enthusiastic bike offering higher technology, fantastic bodywork, and full-LED headlamp cluster with an angular design which complements the bike’s profile. With more added layers to the color scheme, while retaining the iconic orange look, this 2017 edition has pursued perfection with improvement in brakes, suspension, and overall frame.
TVS Apache RTR 200
With more than one year of its launch, TVS Apache RTR 200 maintains the top-notch position in the list of TVS two-wheeler segment. Priced at Rs.2, 91,900, the sporty bike offers flexibility and easy handling for a great racing experience, with maximum power of 20.5 PS at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 18.1 Nm at 7000 rpm. Head of Marketing Bikram Poudel of Jagdamba Motors, the authorized distributor of TVS in Nepal, says, “We have sold more than 5,000 units till date, and expect to sell more in the upcoming months. This edgy and aggressive looking TVS Apache is the most refined series of Apache in the country.” He added, “We were lured when the KTM Duke 200 first came with a heavily loaded console, setting the benchmark in the segment, and now TVS has a done a great job reaching up to it.” It uses 37 mm Kayaba front forks and 270 mm front and 240 mm rear petal disc brakes that provide good pedal bite.
Aprilia SR 150
Priced at Rs.2, 46,000, the Aprilia SR 150 is the best pick of D-Lifestyles Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Aprilia in Nepal. According to Marketing Executive Salil Shrestha, the sporty appearance of Aprilia SR 150 is the most enticing part of the scooter. He further disclosed that the company has sold more than 700 units till date since its release in February 2017. The scooter delivers a comfortable ride, whether it is on the highway, city road, or even off-road, and is one of the only scooters that will be able to go beyond 100 kmph on the speedometer.
